Thymidine uptake
Webb1 dec. 1977 · Significantly increased thymidine labeling was found only in patients with the most severe changes of papillary length or basal layer thickening. We therefore conclude that there is an increased basal zone uptake of [3 H]thymidine in severe esophagitis which suggests increased cell turnover as the mechanism for basal zone hyperplasia.

WebbThymidine uptake by murine GDF9+BMP15 was reduced by the SMAD2/3 and extracellular signal-regulated kinase-MAPK pathway inhibitors and increased after addition of a c-Jun … Thymidine (symbol dT or dThd), also known as deoxythymidine, deoxyribosylthymine, or thymine deoxyriboside, is a pyrimidine deoxynucleoside. Deoxythymidine is the DNA nucleoside T, which pairs with deoxyadenosine (A) in double-stranded DNA. In cell biology it is used to synchronize the cells in G1/early S phase. The prefix deoxy- is often left out since there are no precursors of thy…
WebbThymidine uptake was assayed in L1210 cells using a modifica-tion of the rapid mixing technique of Wohlheuter et al (1978). The uptake of 100 mM thymidine by 106 cells was followed at 2-second WebbSaliva and air vapor activity increased to plasma levels and then decayed at the same rate as did plasma activity. In the first 24 hr, approximately one-third of the total injected …
WebbPurpose: Evaluation and comparison of 3'-[(18)F]-fluoro-3'-deoxy-L-thymidine (FLT) and 2-[(18)F]-fluoro-2-deoxyglucose (FDG)-PET to monitor early response following both cyclophosphamide and temsirolimus treatment in a mouse model of Burkitt lymphoma. Methods: Daudi xenograft mice were treated with either cyclophosphamide or … WebbNuclear medicine techniques (single photon emission computerized tomography, SPECT, and positron emission tomography, PET) represent molecular imaging tools, able to provide in vivo biomarkers of different diseases. To investigate brain tumours and metastases many different radiopharmaceuticals imaged by SPECT and PET can be …
