WebbLight airplanes land harder than heavy airplanes (this seems true across all types in my experience). This could explain quite a few of the bad landings you think are perfect but end up not being. Lastly, remember that you can’t win them all regardless of how good you are. Now for some more specific advice. Dont land an airplane mechanically.
