WebMay 20, 2024 · i know this thread is old but i hope this can help someone with a similar problem, with my gtx 1660 ti it was running at 70-73c while playing games, then it started going to 80-83c, its the thermal paste after reapplying the paste the temps went back to normal. WebMar 21, 2024 · 1080p with a 120hz+ monitor taxes the cpu. but the gpu being a 1660 super would have a hard time keeping the settings at ultra at 120hz. you have a bit of a trade off here. you can turn down setting for more "Fluid" feel of games or keep settings high and run 60hz. you may try 75hz overclock on a 60hz panel and get away with it.
